Capture the spirit of British endurance racing with this finely detailed 1/32 scale model of the legendary 1969 MGC GTS Sebring. A car born from MG’s competition department at Abingdon, the MGC GTS was a rare and purposeful evolution of the six-cylinder MGC—built to take on the world’s toughest endurance events with lightweight engineering and unmistakable style.
Underneath its sleek fastback body, the real MGC GTS combined a steel monocoque with aluminium panels—doors, bonnet, and distinctive “bubble” arches—to reduce weight and improve performance . Powered by a 2.9-litre straight-six engine, the GTS delivered strong, long-distance performance, making it well suited to gruelling events like the Sebring 12 Hours . Only two factory-built lightweight GTS cars were ever completed, making this one of MG’s rarest and most evocative competition machines .
This model faithfully represents the cars that competed in the 1969 Sebring 12 Hours, MG’s final works-backed appearance for the GTS programme. The included decal set allows you to build either of the two team entries:
- Car No.35 (RMO 699F) – driven by Paddy Hopkirk and Andrew Hedges, this car achieved an impressive 15th overall finish, showcasing the durability and pace of the GTS against strong international competition .
- Car No.36 (MBL 546E) – driven by Brack and Hill, this sister car also took on the punishing Florida endurance classic, finishing further down the order but contributing to MG’s determined showing at Sebring .
Every detail of the model reflects the character of these works racers—from the purposeful stance and aerodynamic bodywork to the period-correct racing livery options. Whether you choose #35 or #36, you’re recreating a moment from the golden age of endurance racing, when ingenuity and resilience defined success.
Perfect for collectors, racers, and classic motorsport enthusiasts alike, this 1/32 scale slot car brings the rare and charismatic MGC GTS back to life—ready to race once more.
