A beautifully proportioned Italian sports car with genuine racing pedigree, the 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider is captured here as a 1/32 scale slot car kit by George Turner Models, UK.

Designed by Pininfarina, the Giulietta Spider combined elegant styling with Alfa Romeo’s sophisticated 1.3-litre twin-cam four-cylinder engine. Lightweight, nimble and eager to rev, it quickly established itself as one of the defining Italian sports cars of the 1950s.

The Giulietta also found its way onto the starting line of the legendary Mille Miglia. Held over approximately 1,000 miles of public roads from Brescia to Rome and back, the Mille Miglia was one of the world's toughest and most prestigious road races. In 1956, Alfa Romeo entered a competition-prepared Giulietta Spider, adding another chapter to the model's sporting history.
